Absolute Manage Exchange Configuration Profile

Mobile device management has never been more challenging for IT.
With employees bringing their own devices (BYOD) or requesting a specific type, IT must support a long list of form factors and operating systems. More importantly, organizations are struggling to properly secure the corporate networks and data that are accessed by these devices.
Absolute Manage MDM allows organizations to remotely manage and secure iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices.  It includes support for employee-owned devices as well as a web-based user interface so that IT can perform select administrative and security tasks working remotely or on the go.
Absolute Manage MDM is available stand-alone or as a component within Absolute Manage for organizations that want to manage all devices from a single console.

The initial setup was fairly non eventful with a few minor issues with certificates and firewall port configurations.  The enrollment of the mobile device is the most time consuming piece to the initial setup. To enroll the device you will browse to the portal page created during setup. The best way to save yourself some time is to add a link to your intranet or web page. Enrollment process gives you an option of adding as a domain user company owned device or as a BYOD device.

The configuration profile for Exchange Active sync has its own set of problems. The variables needed can be tricky to apply. After searching the Technologists Reference Bible aka Google. We found several different variables but found that the ${MDU_EnrollmentUsername} was the golden ticket. The issue however is how to apply and to what fields. The picture below shows you the correct placement of variables.

Setting the variables this way will prompt the user to enter their email password and will automatically configure and setup the mail profile.
