Force Quit Applications and Shutdown when Closing Lid on Windows 7 Laptop
Open up Group Policy Management Editor. Expand to Computer Configuration\Preferences\Windows Settings\Registry. Click the Blue + symbol on the tool bar.
Make sure your New Registry Properties match the screen below.
